Hey there, mini artists and poets!  Send me your drawings or paintings with a few words about the picture and I'll put them in the photo album.  Tell me your name and where you're from.  Don't forget to put a title on your drawing.  Have fun!

Even more "cool" would be if you write a little  poem to go with the picture.    Click here to send  Mom and  Dad, help out, OK?

If you don't know how to write a poem, click on Mr. Cool-Write below. He will take you to a website for kids, that makes writing poetry easy and fun.  Come back with your new poems, and I'll post them here for your friends to see! I can hardly wait to see what you write!

Yeah! We have more art - from first-grader, Diego, who is certainly off to a good start -  these are too cool!

Circus Guys

While we're waiting for your masterpieces, have some fun and tell me what you think the lamb is saying to the aritist. Let's see who can come up with the funniest line!  I'll post them below the picture.

The spirit of hai-kus often gets "lost in translation": It takes a keen sense of rhythm, a love of  nature, and a sensitive soul, to turn this Japanese art form into lovely hai-kus -in English.  Ten-year-old Selena is an obvious "natural". Here are her latest:

Creeping, lurching fog

Sheathing all with calm sight

Softening the night

Roaring waterfalls

rushing beauties of nature

flowing rapidly

Ocean's foamy waves

crashing down from the high seas

washing up white foam
